About Yvette

About Yvette? Yvette started her career as a hair stylist, working in London and then aboard cruise ships travelling the world; meeting people from many different cultures. Through this she developed an interest in complementary therapies and on returning to England from living in Bermuda and Italy, she started her training in Shiatsu.

Over the years she continued her development as a therapist by studying; Bowen Therapy, Reiki, Holistic Massage, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Emotional Freedom Technique, Emo-Trance, Thai Foot Massage, Acupressure.

For the past 20 years Yvette has been offering Acupressure/On-Site Massage in London and Oxford for companies including; AOP, Golden Square Post Productions, Daily Mail, Time Warner, CNN, Daily Info and Ruffer Ltd.

During her Shiatsu training Yvette gained an interest in Qigong and over the years she has tried various styles; then in 2005 a friend introduced her to Master Yap from Penang, Malaysia. Master Yap invited Yvette to attend a weekend workshop in Oxford and she has continued to practice Chaoyi Fanhuan Qigong (CFQ) ever since.

Yvette has become a certified CFQ instructor; organising and instructing Qigong weekend workshops throughout the UK. (See cfq.org.uk for up to date details of workshops).

This year Yvette has relocated to the north of England, leaving behind the corporate sector to practice as a Bowen Therapist, holding private clinics in Barnoldswick and Skipton. Yvette became aware of Bowen Therapy and its benefits over 20 years ago and felt this was a natural progression of her development in Acupressure based therapies.
